British or International English

I am English and naturally write in what is sometimes called ‘British English’. However, I am also vastly experienced in writing in ‘International English’, where specific UK references are avoided and vocabulary and spelling are chosen to be most acceptable to the widest possible international readership. On the other hand, if you want ‘all-American’ texts, you really should find an ‘all-American’ translator.

One way only
I translate only from Swedish into English: not the other way round. The reason is that I firmly believe that - with very few exceptions - it is impossible to translate into a language other than your own native tongue. To have a full command of the vocabulary, subtleties and modern usage of any language other than your own is very difficult. To translate professionally in both directions between two languages, you have to be truly bilingual, and not many people are.
